Physical Superintelligence

Challenge

Launch a company built to industrialize scientific discovery, with nothing to point a camera at. The product is an open-source agentic system with no hardware, no interface worth filming, and no moment that shows it working. The client ruled out talking heads and product demos, and the film had to be ready for a launch date they did not set. We had five and a half weeks from award to launch.

Approach

We built the film as an argument: physics is bottlenecked, and PSI is building the system that breaks the bottleneck. The first half is the history of physics, drawn from archival footage. The second half is the part that does not exist yet, generated to a single standard the client set at the brief: indistinguishable from real footage, and never used where real footage would work better. The narrator is a personified take on the voice of physical superintelligence itself, so the film opens on a terminal card reading “How was physics discovered? Processing…” and the whole film becomes its answer.
